Rio Star of Bethlehem
The Star of Bethlehem (Omithogalum umbellatum) is a perennial bulb with slender grass-like leaves. Each bloom produces 10 to 20 clusters of star-shaped white flowers on top of stems that reach up to one foot tall. These delicate flowers, measuring less than an Inch across, open in the late morning and close as the sun sets or In cloudy weather. The petals and sepals form an attractive, three-cornered star adorned with bright white hues on the upper surface and green lines on the underside.
