The floral industry is buzzing with renewed energy after another successful Floral Distribution Conference. Hosted by the Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association (WF&FSA), the 2017 gathering saw over 860 floral industry professionals in attendance, making it the largest conference in WF&FSA history. Held in mid-October, this year’s show featured many opportunities for networking, educational programming, and many displays of high-quality products from wholesale florists and supplier industries.
Rio Roses was a proud participant, with an elegant showcase of the most exquisite flowers in an ode to simplicity. The energy at the conference was infectious, with warm interactions between members of the association, exhibitors, and the board. As always, the conference proved a great place to meet vendors, make new connections, and be inspired by their peers.
By offering educational programs that are relevant across the wholesale industry, seminar leaders were able to reach record-breaking attendance. Both new and more seasoned members heard from professional speakers and later had the opportunity to discuss the topics with their peers.
It is crucial that newer members to the floral industry attend the WF&FSA Conference—not only because they have plenty to gain by meeting more established members and florists, but because they bring a vibrancy and relevancy that is critical to the success of the floral industry as a whole.
