Green filler has long played a supporting role in floral design, often used to add volume or conceal mechanics. Today, florists look for greens to add structure, movement, and texture to a design rather than remaining in the background. That’s why Rio Roses is proud to introduce Unicorn, a new green filler that functions as a true design element.

Natural Movement with Professional Reliability

Unicorn features long, flowing stems and an open, airy form, adding natural movement to floral designs. Its clean, fresh green tone feels contemporary and integrates seamlessly across a wide range of styles, guiding the eye through the arrangement without competing with the focal flowers. Designed for professionals, Unicorn also delivers the consistency and durability needed for reliable, repeatable results from the design table to the final display.

Key benefits include:

• Flowing, open stems that create natural visual movement
• Fresh, contemporary green tones that integrate easily across styles
• Consistent, durable performance suited for professional design and repeat use

Scale and Flexibility for Modern Design

Unicorn offers impressive scale, with long stems typically 90-150 cm. The long stems make it especially valuable for designs that require height and presence without bulk. It works exceptionally well for:

• Floral arches and ceremony structures
• Hanging installations and large-format event work
• Statement centerpieces and entry arrangements

Its flexible stems allow designers to shape and direct the material, creating either soft, organic movement or more defined lines depending on the design style.

Practical Ways to Use Unicorn

This unique filler isn’t just for big installations. It works just as well in everyday floral work, offering versatility without complexity.

In weddings:

• Adds height and airiness without making designs feel crowded
• Fits garden-style, organic, and modern looks
• Pairs easily with garden roses, ranunculus, and seasonal flowers

In events:

• Helps define space without blocking sightlines
• Adds movement to large designs

In bouquets and arrangements:

• Brings structure without taking over
• Can be used lightly or layered, depending on the look

A New Tool for Today’s Florist

Unicorn represents a shift in how green fillers are used, moving from background support to an intentional design element. Yet, it isn’t meant to replace every green filler in your cooler. It’s another tool, one that’s particularly useful when you want height, movement, and a lighter feel. For florists who like to think about structure and shape from the start, it’s a filler that earns its place in the design, not one you add at the end.
