Where can you network with hundreds of the world’s top floral industry suppliers and wholesalers, learn about the latest industry trends and create new business opportunities in the span of two and a half days? The annual Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association (WF&FSA) Floral Distribution Conference! This year’s conference, held in October at the Miami Airport Convention Center, hosted close to 750 wholesale floral industry professionals, including more than 100 exhibitors and 200 wholesalers.

The keynote address this year focused on global production trends, with a dynamic presentation by renowned international flower experts. They discussed how production trends in the US, South America, Europe, Africa and Asia have changed over the years to meet industry needs, and how this affects wholesalers worldwide. Another fascinating presentation was the Floral Trends Session, where the latest trends in color palettes, emerging technology and buying habits were discussed, as well as current social movements, new practices, and sourcing.

The opportunities for networking were again in full force at this year’s conference, with attendees able to visit with suppliers and wholesalers from around the world at WF&FSA’s Table Top exhibits. Rio Roses was proud to exhibit our finest products at this conference, including all the varieties that won Best of Class at the 2018 SAF Convention. We also showcased our newest product additions, Rio Gerberas, Rio LA Hybrid Lilies, and Rio Orientals.

WF&FSA is the only association solely dedicated to the floral wholesale business and its suppliers, and this year’s conference showed yet again how important these networking and educational opportunities are for the entire floral industry.
