NIRP International is proud to introduce their Orange Bowl® Cut Rose.
NIRP International is known worldwide as a leading company in the research, improvement, selection, and marketing of new varieties of cut roses and garden roses. Founded in France in the 1960s, NIRP has been able to capture a large market share over the years, thanks to their long tradition of professionalism and passion.
Year after year, NIRP International dedicates significant human, financial, and technological resources to the research, improvement, and selection of new varieties of cut roses and garden roses. As a result, NIRP’s breeding program is one of the largest producers of ornamental plant crosses in the world. Each year, across the different breeding lines, 40,000 crosses are made, and 300,000 seeds are produced and cultivated for selection.
Once the seeds are germinated, the selected codes are grown in specific test areas, where they are kept under close supervision. After the first year of evaluation, the selected codes are propagated and sent to different growing areas around the world. There, the evaluation process continues they ultimately select the codes that adapt best to the cultivation conditions of the different latitudes. Codes are cultivated and evaluated in Italy, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Kenya, Ethiopia, Iran, China, Japan, and South Korea.
From the entire process detailed above, the Orange Bowl variety has been selected and commercially promoted. This variety is a tea hybrid, with an excellent flower size that easily exceeds 6 cm. Its bright orange color makes it interesting and versatile for sale both in an assortment of colors and in solid boxes. Plus, with a stem length between 50 and 80 cm, Orange Bowl is also a multi-market variety.
