WHOLESALER SPOTLIGHT: Cleveland Plant & Flower Company
Established in 1913 and celebrating its 108th year in business, The Cleveland Plant & Flower Company (CPF) is one of the largest wholesale floral product distributors in the USA. CPF imports fresh flowers, foliage, and plants daily from all over the world and distributes them across the country. Their 4,000-plus customers include retail florists, supermarkets, event planners, caterers, crafters, fundraisers, and many others.
Walter Priest started The Cleveland Plant & Flower Company in a small storefront on High Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The company sold flowers on commission from local growers to retail florists and delivered those flowers by streetcar, bus, or taxi. Soon after starting the business, Walter hired Charles Macuga Sr., who became a partner in the firm. Over the years, generations of Priest and Macuga families, along with many dedicated employees, have grown CPF to six full-service wholesale operations in three states (Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina) and a brokerage office in Bogota, Colombia.
CPF delivers its products daily throughout the eastern United States and much of the Midwest, using a fleet of more than 70 vehicles. They also deliver via FedEx and UPS to areas outside their immediate delivery range. Their direct-shipping brokerage office in Colombia specializes in sourcing farm fresh flowers for customers who prefer a more personal touch.
In addition to fresh products, CPF carries a vast inventory of floral supplies for weddings, proms, homecomings, and graduations. They have everything a flower shop would need, from essential everyday items to holiday and seasonal items.
The experienced staff at CPF is proud to provide quality products and service beyond expectations.
